Manuela's plan for NHS
A local health campaigner Manuela has made standing up for our NHS her top priority. Years of under-investment from the Conservative Government have left our NHS on life support.
Our ambulance station has closed, Stratford town doesn't have an A&E department anymore, and the in-patient ward at the Ellen Badger Hospital in Shipston is now facing complete removal. Residents are waiting weeks for a GP appointment, and operations are being delayed. Our constituency deserves better.
The Liberal Democrats' plan would guarantee people can see a doctor quickly. We’d introduce a new 24/7 hotline so people could book a GP appointment anytime.
We will hold Labour to account and fight for an increase in medical training places, an improvement of recruitment and retention for GPs and other health care workers. Liberal Democrats are also fighting for a fair deal where mental and physical health are treated equally.
